description

Each image is a record of a working session, drawn by the cursor itself. A tracking program plots every mouse movement as a thin gray line for the length of the session: 24 minutes of email, 4.8 hours in Rhino and InDesign, 5.8 hours in Rhino alone.

Over time the lines accumulate into density. Modeling sessions build a dark mass near the center of the screen, with hard vertical traces where toolbars sit at the edges. Short sessions stay open and sparse. File management radiates from a single point. The drawings index software and hours, but they read first as weather, or as a crowd seen from far above.
